Former Soccer Standout Touloute Named to Haitian National Team

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Former IPFW soccer standout Max Touloute has been named to the 2012 Haitian National Team for the 2012 Caribbean Championship qualifiers.
Haiti, a member of Group A in the 2012 Caribbean Cup, is joined in the group by the Dominican Republic, as Antigua and Barbuda and Martinique are in Group B. After round robin play, the Group A winner will face the Group B runner-up, and the Group A winner will play the Group A runner-up in a tournament format, with the winner being named the 2012 Caribbean Cup Champion.
Touloute is one of eight players on the 20-man squad who will be playing in their first international competition as a member of the team.
As a member of the IPFW men's soccer team, Touloute scored 13 goals and dished out nine assists in 16 matches as a senior, the total points and goal totals put him in the top five nationally, earning him Summit League Offensive Player of the Year honors. For his career he had 78 points, 32 goals, and 14 assists, each ranking in the top-five in school history.
