Mastsodon Pair Earns Spot at NCAA Track & Field Regionals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned a spot at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships hosted in Greensborog, N.C.
The Preliminary Regional Championship is hosted in combination by North Carolina A&T and UNC Greensboro.
McHugh, the school record holder in the javelin throw, ranks 33rd in the region in the event with her best throw of 150-feet, 4-inches (45.82 meters) came at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational on April 6, and the senior has each of the top-10 best javelin throws in school history, with six of the top seven coming this year.
Dincoff, also the school record holder in the shot put, quickly emerged during the season as a freshman, and set the school record with a throw of 49-6.25 (15.09 meters) at the Billy Hayes Invitational. She placed second at the Summit League Championships last weekend, and has the top seven shot put tosses in program history.
