Coastal Carolina began the game on an 11-0 run before McCarver knocked down a three-pointer at the 15:53 mark. IPFW stormed back with a 13-2 run as Rinehart tied the score at 13-13 on a layup with 13:11 left in the half.
The Chanticleers answered back with a 13-2 run of their own to lead 26-15 with 9:29 to go. Carter connected from downtown as time expired in the first half as the 'Dons trailed 47-34.
