Mastodons Honored At 2017 Masty Awards

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On Sunday (April 23) evening at the Rhinehart Music Center, Fort Wayne Mastodon student-athletes and program contributors were celebrated during the annual Masty Awards.

The event provided recognition for the achievements – both athletically and academically – of Fort Wayne's sports teams during the 2016-17 academic year. Awards presented include:

Male Athlete of the Year – John Konchar (men's basketball)
Female Athlete of the Year – Olivia Hahn (women's volleyball)
Senior Male Athlete of the Year – Mo Evans (men's basketball)
Senior Female Athlete of the Year – Kiley Dunning (women's soccer)
Freshman Male Athlete of the Year – Sam Williamson (men's cross country)
Freshman Female Athlete of the Year – Madison Fruchey (women's track & field)
Fan of the Year – Cindy King
Volunteer of the Year – Jim Casaburo
David R. Skelton Skelton Award – Gaby Romo
