2008 Summit League Cross Country Preseason Release

Elmhurst, IL - The IPFW women's cross country team has been picked to repeat as conference champions in The Summit League Cross Country preseason poll released by the conference office Tuesday evening.

Head Coach Mike Fruchey's team tallied 74 points with three first-place votes. 

Southern Utah, who tied for the league crown with the Mastodons in 2007, grabbed 71 points for second place.

On the men's side, IPFW was picked eighth out of 10 teams.

For the third consecutive season, the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah were picked to win on the men's side.  SUU's 71 points was one better than the Oakland Grizzlies who were picked second.
