Roland, who played from 1986 through 1989, stands third in school history in career scoring with 1,477 points, and his 19.2 point per game average stands as the second highest in program history. He was named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) First Team in 1987-88 and 1988-89.
His 1987-88 season remains the highest scoring single season in program history with 672 points, averaging 24.0 points per game. Included in that season is a 41-point effort against Southern Indiana, which was followed with a 37-point effort against Tri-State three days later, both among the ten highest scoring single game efforts in program history. He will join teammate Lawrence Jordan and head coach Andy Piazza in the Athletics Hall of Fame.
