Macias averaged 5.41 points per set in his career, the best in program history during the rally scoring era. He was an AVCA All-America Second Team selection in 2006 and 2007. Macias was also a First Team All-MIVA honoree in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He ranks sixth in Mastodon history in both career kills (1,531) and service aces (116). He ranks 18th in program history in career digs (555). His 609 kills in 2006 is the most by a Mastodon for a single season during the rally scoring era. He earned three MIVA Player of the Week honors and one AVCA National Player of the Week accolade. He helped the 'Dons to a MIVA Tournament championships in 2006 and 2007 as well as National Runner-up finish in 2007.
