Clara (Schortgen) Meyer was a four-year letterwinner for the IPFW women's volleyball team. Meyer was the Co-Captain of the 1984 team that won the school's first ever Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) women's volleyball championship. Meyer was named All-Conference in that 1984 season. She was also a co-captain for the Mastodons in 1982 and 1983. Meyer was an All-America nomination her senior season. She served as an assistant coach at IPFW, for then head coach Arnie Ball, from 1985-1987.
