Jeff Richey was a four-year letterwinner in goal for the IPFW men's soccer team. Richey backstopped the Mastodons to their only NCAA tournament appearance in 1999. With Richey, the `Dons won the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament and made it all the way to the Elite 8. For his efforts, he was named All-Midwest Region, and more importantly, All-America. Richey has gone on to have a successful professional career. He is currently a goal keeper with the Chicago Storm of the Xtreme Soccer League (formerly the Major Indoor Soccer League), and this past summer he was the starting netminder for the United States Futsal World Cup Team which competed in Brazil.
