Laura Douglas was a standout in women's volleyball from 1997-2000. She was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) All-Conference team in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Douglas was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region team in 1998 and the GLVC Player of the Year in 2000. She holds the IPFW school record for single match kills (36). She also holds the IPFW record for digs in a season (505) and digs in a career (1,625). A standout in the classroom as well, Douglas was named by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as an Academic All-America and to the GLVC All-Academic team in 1999 and 2000. Douglas is the current head volleyball coach at Indiana Tech.
