When Lisa (Miller) McBride left IPFW after the 1992 season, she departed as the school's All-Time Leading Scorer (2,358). McBride also holds the IPFW record for Rebounding (937). In her senior season, she was named a Kodak Division II All-America. She also grabbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Year award. She is the school's only ever recipient of the GLVC's Richard F. Scharf Paragon Award. It is awarded annually to one male and one female student-athlete, based upon academic excellence, athletic ability and achievement, character and leadership. She took home the honor following the 1991-92 season.Â
McBride still holds the GLVC record for Free Throws in a season (160). A four-time All-GLVC selection, McBride was also a three-time GLVC All-Academic honoree. She was selected by the NCAA to receive the NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship, and her #24 jersey has been retired. She was the girl's basketball coach at Carroll High School for 11 seasons.
She was inducted into the GLVC Hall of Fame in 2004.Â
