Tim Heffron was a member of the Mastodon men's volleyball team from 1986-90, helping the 'Dons win the 1989 regular season title. He went on to serve as head coach of the women's program from 1993-98. Heffron was a two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year pick after guiding the 'Dons to a league title and NCAA appearance in 1996 and a NCAA berth in 1998. He finished with a career record of 157-62 (.717 percent). From there he served in multiple administrator roles for the athletic department. Heffron oversaw financial operations for multiple decades while serving as a sport administrator. He was part of the team that managed the transition of the Mastodons to Division I in the early 2000s. He retired from the university in 2019.
