AVON, Ind. - The Mastodons traveled to Avon, Indiana for a second tournament hosted by Butler University. This year's Butler Spring Invitational was held at the Prestwick Country Club in Avon. After two days of competition, IPFW finished 8th out of a field of 10.
After Round 1, junior Kelly Wood was leading the Dons with an 89, tied for 22nd place. Junior Vanessa Weimer was not far behind with a 94, tied for 29th. The ladies finished Round 1 in 7th place with Tennessee State, Robert Morris and Chicago State behind them.
After Round 2, Weimer took the lead for the Dons, tied for 24th with a final score of 180. Overall, the ladies finished with a final score of 790 for the two rounds. Their next tournament is the IU Invitational, April 2-3.
