Washington, DC - North Dakota State punched its ticket to the 2006 United Soccer Conference Tournament Championship with a 1-0 win over IPFW on Friday night in the Nation's capitol.
The lone goal of the match was scored just after halftime by the Bison's Jestina Orlando, who converted a feed from teammate Lorraine Thompson.
It was the second time this season that North Dakota State topped IPFW 1-0. The Bison were victorious back on October 15, in Fargo.
IPFW, the defending 2005 USC Tournament Champions, managed only two shots on goal in the match.
Mastodons' goal keeper Shannon Lynn, playing her final collegiate match, made six saves.
North Dakota State will face South Dakota State on Sunday in the Championship match.
South Dakota State made it to the finals after beating Utah Valley State in penalty kicks, 4-1.
