Chicago, IL - A goal in each half was enough for Loyola, in a 2-0 shutout of IPFW on Friday night in Chicago, Illinois.
The Ramblers got on the board at the 27:54 mark as senior forward Mary Dale broke away from the IPFW defense for the 20th goal of her career. That was the only scoring in the first half.
In the second half LUC (4-3-1) fired off ten shots, and late in the match freshman Jackie Vera gave the Ramblers an insurance goal from about three yards out on the right side.
Loyola freshman forward Cynthia Morote-Ariza registered a two-point night with a pair of assists.
With the loss, IPFW falls to 2-4-0. They return to action Saturday afternoon with a 4pm home contest against Illinois State.
