Rathsman Starts Spring Right, Finishes 5th at Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. - The IPFW Women's Golf team started the spring season at future conference foe Centenary College for a two round invitational. Alison Rathsman finished in 5th while two other 'Dons finished in the top 15 as well.
The Mastodons wrapped up the two round invitational with a team score of 696, placing fourth in the field of six.
Rathsman started off on Monday with an 86, coming in 7th after day one in a tie with fellow teammate Abbey Waltke. On day two Rathsman improved to a 79 to finish fifth overall with a 165.
Jillian Speece finished 10th with a 175 while Waltke was just a stroke behind, tied for 11th with a 176.
Jessica Garza of Centenary took medalist with a 157. Centenary also took the team title with a team score of 664.
The Mastodons will now head to Jacksonville Beach, Florida for the Butler North/South Intercollegiate on March 13th and 14th.
