Men Drop Two Matches on the Road

Buffalo , NY - The IPFW Men's Tennis team wrapped up the weekend with road losses to Niagara University and MAC foe Buffalo on Friday and Saturday. The Purple Eagles of Niagara swept the 'Dons 7-0 and the Bulls of Buffalo won 5-2 on Saturday.
Against Niagara, the Purple Eagles took the doubles point after winning all three matches. The team of Nathan Jones and Nathan Toles battled at #2 but fell in the tiebreaker.
In singles, Jones fought hard at #3, taking the second set after a tiebreaker, but fell in the third set.
On Saturday at Buffalo, the Mastodons started off on a better foot, taking the doubles point after Nabil Mourad Filho and Renan Constantino won at #1 and Arturo Salgado and Diego Arteaga won at #3.
Arteaga kept his momentum going, winning at #6 in three sets to score for the 'Dons.
The Mastodons have lost eight straight matches and are now 6-15 overall and 0-3 in the MAC.
They will host Indiana Wesleyan on Monday, April 16th at 3 PM. The match is tentatively scheduled to be played at the IPFW Tennis Courts.
