Lawrence, KS-The IPFW women's track team competed in the 80th anniversary of the Kansas Relays this past weekend.
The women were led by a school record breaking performance by the 4x1 mile team comprised of Ashley Ritchey, Crystina Martinez, Crystal Martinez, and Valerie Hardesty. The team placed fifth overall, but was able to shatter the previous IPFW record by more than fifteen seconds at 21:15.55.
Freshman Mary Ballinger saw individual success in the 3,000m steeplechase finishing in a time of 11:32.86 and placing fifth overall.
The 'Dons will compete in the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays in Hillsdale, MI in the upcoming weekend.
