IPFW Topples South Dakota State 4-0

Fort Wayne, IN - The IPFW Mastodons secured their bid into the postseason tournament, being hosted by the `Dons next week, after a 4-0 victory over the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State University.
The `Dons swept through the doubles section, with Stacy Lish and Ashley Coulson winning 8-1 at No. 1; Sachi Janek and Amy Recht winning 8-2 at No. 2; and Alexa Rang and Hanna Hager winning 8-0 at No. 3.
The singles outcome was similar to that of doubles, with IPFW winning in straight sets at No.'s 1, 2 and 5.Recht remained undefeated in singles play in the conference, winning 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 with Janek winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Hager was the final `Don to complete scoring, winning 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 although Lish, Coulson and Mollee Carpenter were all leading when play was halted.
The `Dons now fight for the second overall seed when they face off against Western Illinois University later Sunday afternoon.
