FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In the windy first round of the IPFW Spring Classic, the women's golf team placed a team total of 365 for fifth place at Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne today.

Sophomore Alyssa Turney leads the 'Dons after she fired an 86 in the first round to tie for 12th place.

Tied for 23rd place are IPFW's junior Tosha Embry and Maggie Talbert after they both posted rounds of 92.

Mastodon freshman Taylor Lamphier and sophomore Breanna Hatter are tied for 26th place after they both finished round one with a 95.

Freshman Meredith Holt checked in for 31st place after she posted a round of 101 in individuals.

The IPFW Spring Classic will resume with round two tomorrow in a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start at Pine Valley Country Club.
