
Mastodon Women Take 20th at Notre Dame

	NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Behind a top finish by senior Julie Jeszenszky, the IPFW Mastodons placed 20th at the 2013 Notre Dame Invitational.
	
	Senior Julie Jeszenszky led the Mastodons by placing 96th in a time of 19:19.2, while classmate Amaya Ayers placed 112th in a time of 19:30.6.
	
	Freshman Brittany Beard took 118th in 19:33.9, as senior Rachel Zachar was the IPFW fourth finisher (121st overall) in a time of 19:35.3. Tiffany Rauch followed with a 141st place in a time of 19:49.8 finish to close out the Mastodon scoring five, as Kayla Boyes finished  just behind (144th overall) in a time of 19:51.5.
	
	Andrea Bell was the seventh finisher for the Mastodons, placing 174th in a time of 20:12.3, as Kaitlyn Simmons placed 191st in 20:45.4, and Emma Manchess 199th in 20:58.7 to close out the nine IPFW runners in the event.
	
	Racing in the JV Race, Rachel Kacer ran a time of 20:55.3, while Karson Rowe (21:27.0), Alexa Brown (22:17.8), McKayla Keating (22:20.4), and Cheryl Morris (22:40.2) also competed for the deep Mastodon squad.
	
	IPFW's 20th place finish with 568 points was narrowly behidn UIC (537), while topping Western Michigan (576), Butler (580), Valparaiso (658), Green Bay (702), and Western Illinois (782).
	
	The team returns to action in eight days, when the squad competes at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla.
