Final Results
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- The IPFW women's tennis team defeated Niagara 6-1 on Monday afternoon to improve to 9-7 overall.
IPFW made quick work of Niagara in doubles competition by defeating the Purple Eagles in all three matches. Anita Henestrosa and Caterina Kiefer took No. 1 Doubles 8-4 and the team of Miloslava Shustova and Theresa Neumeyr defeated Niagara 8-3 in No. 2 Doubles.
The final doubles match was Kristine Lindal and Marcy Huck defeating Ashley Ta and Jenna McCune 8-2.
Henestrosa and Kiefer each won their singles match in straight sets. Henestrosa represented IPFW in No. 1 Singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win. Kiefer was No. 2 on Monday as she also won 6-1, 6-3.
Lindal was defeated in No. 3 Singles 6-2, 6-1, but Shustova came up with a win in No. 4 Singles 6-0, 6-3.
Rounding out the action for IPFW was Huck in No. 5 Singles with a 6-1, 7-5 win and Neumeyr in No. 6 Singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
