'Dons Tied For Third After Second Round Of Phoenix Invite

GREEN BAY, Wis. - After two rounds at the Phoenix Invitational, the IPFW women's golf team sits in a tie for third place with Illinois-Chicago, shooting a score of 646.
Hosted by Green Bay at the par-73 Green Bay Country Club, the course is being played at 5,898 yards. Indianapolis improved its lead to 27 stokes over second place Chicago State with a two-day score of 615. Paxton DeHaven of Indianapolis held onto the top spot in the 41-player field with a 36-hole score of 2-under-par 144.
Allison Curtis leads the Mastodons in a tie for eighth after two days with a score of 160. In a three-way tie for 11th are Brenna Sherwood, Sydney Bailey, and Ashton Taft with scores of 162, respectively. Monica Dorner rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons in a tie for 24th place with a two-day score of 167.
The final round of the Phoenix Invitational will be a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m.
