
Mo Evans Named Madness Summit League Player of the Week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – IPFW junior men's basketball guard Mo Evans/Indianapolis (Cathedral) has been named the Madness Summit League Player of the Week by College Sports Madness for his efforts November 23-29. Evans averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 31.3 minutes, while leading the Mastodons to three wins in four games last week. He shot 46% (20-44) from the field, including 45% (13-29) on three-point field goals and 80% (8-10) at the free throw line, adding seven steals. Evans posted game-highs of 15 points at Miami (Ohio) (57-53) on Nov. 24, and 19 points against Navy (L 75-53) on Nov. 29; contributing 18 points against Jacksonville (W 71-63) on Nov. 27 and nine points at UNCG (W 64-58) on Nov. 28.
Evans was named to the Spartan Showcase All-Tournament Team, as selected by the respective head coaches, this past weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina. He averaged 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists, while shooting 42% (18-43) from the field, 36% (10-28) on three-pointers and 80% (8-10) at the line during the four games of the exempt event, adding five steals.
Through eight games, he leads IPFW (6-2) in scoring (14.6), three-pointers (20) and assists (4.1), while shooting 44% (36-81) from the field, 40% (20-50) on three-pointers and 83% (25-30) at the line with 10 steals and one block.
IPFW returns to action on Thursday night, December 3, at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
