Fort Wayne Takes Down Robert Morris 4-2

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Thanks to a pair of braces from Kendall Quinn and Deanna Hecht, the Fort Wayne women's soccer team defeated Robert Morris 4-2 on Sunday (Sept. 17) at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
Quinn got the scoring going quickly, netting two goals in the first 10 minutes of play. This was the first time against a Division I opponent that Fort Wayne has scored two times in the first 10 minutes. Fort Wayne achieved this is 2001 against Trine.
Hecht scored two of her own, the first coming at the 28 minute mark. Just after the break, Hecht netted her second in minute 49 to take a 4-0 lead. These were her first two career goals.
Robert Morris scored its first goal in the 67th minute, followed by another in the 71st. Erin Ritzer and Jane Schleicher scored the two respective goals.
Fort Wayne improves to 1-8-0 and Robert Morris falls to 2-7-0. Fort Wayne is back at the Hefner Soccer Complex on Sunday (Sept. 24) when they welcome the Loyola Ramblers to Fort Wayne.
