'Dons End Season With 2-0 Loss Against Oral Roberts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer ended their final Summit League season with a 2-0 loss against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles on Sunday (Nov. 3).
In the first half, Oral Roberts took the lead with a goal by Jordan Langebartels at the 19 minute mark. The Mastodons led the Golden Eagles 5-2 in shots on goal. Hannah Kroger took her shot on goal after breaking away from the Golden Eagle defenders and forcing the ball to the lower center portion of the net, but could not tally a score.
In the second half, Purdue Fort Wayne tried to get on the board with five shots, but to no avail. The Golden Eagles scored again in minute 57, as Langebartels scored the second of her brace.
Kroger led the way with four shots on goal while Kayla Wisniewski, Kailyn Wade, Eliese LaCourt, and Morgan Reitano contributed one shot on goal apiece for a total of eight.
Purdue Fort Wayne finishes the season with a record of 4-10-4, 0-6-2 Summit League. Head coach Jason Burr ends his sixth season with his best winning percentage at Purdue Fort Wayne. Oral Roberts will end their regular season with a 6-8-4, 3-2-3 Summit League record.
