Castleman, Jones, Schiller and Traciak Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball players earned places on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday (Nov. 22): Maggie Castleman, Nicole Jones, Sidney Schiller and Alexandra Traciak.
The 2022 Academic All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. To qualify, all nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Castleman owns a 3.94 GPA in the elementary education program. She was honored by the Horizon League earlier this fall by being named to the Horizon League All-Academic Honorable Mention Team. She totaled 104 kills in 2022 for an average of 1.81 per set. She has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Jones has a 3.87 GPA as a sophomore in the psychology program. She was the second setter on the Mastodon squad this season, playing a role in the 'Dons' 6-2 system. She finished the season with 124 assists, 36 digs and nine aces. Her six aces against Robert Morris ranks fourth in program history in four-set matches.

Schiller was selected to the Horizon League All-Academic Team earlier this year behind her 3.98 GPA in her pursuit of an organizational leadership degree. She finished the 2022 regular season ranked ninth in the league in kills per set.
