Adrienne Rohwedder One Shot Back of Lead at Braun Intercollegiate

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Adrienne Rohwedder is one shot back of the lead at the Braun Intercollegiate after one round on Monday (Oct. 23).
Purdue Fort Wayne as a team is in third place with an opening round of 313, seven shots off lead held by Northern Iowa. Indiana State shot 309 in round one.
Rohwedder is seeking her first win or top-five as a Mastodon. She finished eighth at the Coyote Creek Classic earlier in October. In the opening round of Evansville's event, she shot 75 thanks to three birdies in a row on 10, 11 and 12. She had nothing worse than a bogey all day and recorded nine pars.
Anna Olafsdottir joined Rohwedder in the top-10, shooting 77. After a 42 on the front, she shot a 1-under 35 on the back. After a bogey on 10, she was bogey-free the rest of the way with birdies on 12 and 13.
Freshman Hunar Mittal shot 80 in round one and is tied for 23rd. She had birdies on holes six and 11 to go with seven pars. Natalie Papa was right behind with an 81, carding 11 pars and a birdie on hole six.
Olivia Jang shot 82 and is tied for 32nd behind 11 pars. Lillie Cone competed as an individual and shot 82 as well. She had birdies on seven, eight and 10. She had the second-most birdies in the field, tied with Rohwedder and several others.
The final round of the Braun Intercollegiate will tee off on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
