Schedule Alert! Women's Hoops Season is Right Around the Corner

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball head coach Maria Marchesano announced her program's non-league schedule on Thursday (Aug. 17).
The slate is highlighted by two games against Big Ten foes: Michigan and Iowa. The Mastodons open the year up north with a road game against the Wolverines on November 6. The 'Dons will play 2022 National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark and Iowa in the previously announced Gulf Coast Showcase over Thanksgiving weekend. They will play either Delaware or Florida Gulf Coast in the second round, then one of Kansas State, Western Kentucky, North Carolina and Vermont in their final game.
The non-league schedule features three home games against Great Lakes Christian (Nov. 11), St. Thomas (Dec. 9) and Aquinas (Dec. 21). The St. Thomas game will be played at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum as a doubleheader with the Mastodon men's basketball team. The other two will be played at the Gates Sports Center.
