Three Mastodon Seniors Selected for #HLXC All-Academic Team

Tate holds a 3.95 GPA in her computer science major. This is the Ohio native's first All-Academic Team selection after being an honorable mention in 2023. She has earned Horizon League First Team honors the last two years, finishing third in the 2025 #HLXC Championship, the program's third best 6k time (20:49.1). Tate has been a four-time member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll, was named to the CSC Academic All-District list the last two years and was selected as a Purdue Fort Wayne Top 50 student in 2025.
Genovese has a 3.59 GPA in the biology department. This is her second All-Academic Team selection. Earlier this month, the Michigan native earned a Horizon League Second Team spot for the second year in a row, finishing ninth at the 2025 #HLXC Championship. Genovese was named to the CSC Academic All-District list in 2024.
Gasson owns a 3.82 GPA in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program. This is his first All-Academic Team selection. The Ohio native is a four-time recipient of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. Gasson ran the program's seventh best 8k time (25:01.4) at the #HLXC Championship and the program's eighth best 5k time (15:44.2) at the Mastodon Alumni Open.
