
Mastodon Men's Golf Collects Presidents Special Recognition Award From GCAA

NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America announced its Presidents Special Recognition awards on Tuesday (Aug. 5), and the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team was one of the teams selected as recipients .
The Presidents Special Recognition honor is bestowed to programs with a team GPA of 3.50 or better in 2024-25. Purdue Fort Wayne, Green Bay and Wright State were the only three programs to earn the honor in the Horizon League. Additionally, the All-Academic Teams are all those above a 3.00 for the year.
The 'Dons compiled a GPA of 3.66 to earn the award. A total of 74 NCAA Division I programs earned the Presidents Special Recognition and 93 others earned All-Academic Team recognition.
This is the fourth year in a row the Mastodons have earned the Presidents Special Recognition. They have also earned an All-Academic Team or Presidents Special Recognition nod in every season since 2010.
