Women's Golf Takes Fourth Place at Horizon League Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team earned a fourth-place finish at the Horizon League Golf Championship on Monday (April 27).
The Mastodons battled through windy conditions for their second-best league finish in program history with a three-round score of 955.
Hunar Mittal was the Mastodons' best on Monday, turning in a 77. She birdied hole 10, the opening hole for the Mastodons. After making the turn, she strung together six pars in a row then a birdie on seven. She finished with a three-day total of 238 for 15th place.
Lillian Gottman shot 80, with her round highlighted by a six-hole stretch on the back nine. This stretch had five pars and a birdie on hole 14, on which she left herself a putt inside six feet for birdie. She also birdied hole seven late in her round. Gottman finished at 237 for 12th place.
Natalie Papa turned in an 84, which put her in a tie for 16th place in the field. She finished day three with eight pars, totaling a score of 239.
Emily Gottman had an 82 on day three for a total score of 241 for 18th place. She parred four holes on the back, then added three on the front with birdie on holes two and six.
Lara Dommach played as the substitute for the final round, turning in an 86. She had four pars in a row to start the back nine, then birdied hole seven, a 436-yard par-5 with a creek cutting the fairway in half.
The Mastodons finished the 2025-26 season with the fifth-best average in program history.
