Mastodons Picked Third in #HLXC Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's cross country team was picked to finish third in 2026 per the Horizon League Preseason Poll released on Tuesday (Sept. 1).
The Mastodons earned 105 overall points in the poll, edged by Oakland (119) and Youngstown State (140).
Purdue Fort Wayne took home the runner-up trophy at the 2025 Horizon League Championships, marking the second runner-up finish in three seasons. The Mastodons recorded 74 points for second place at the Horizon League Championship. Youngstown State won the meet with 54 points.
