Letter to Boosters and Alumni
Important Booster Information
Dear Friends of Purdue Fort Wayne:
As a member of the Summit League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Purdue Fort Wayne is dedicated to maintaining a high level of integrity in all of its athletics programs. We would like to ask for your help in meeting this challenge by being well informed about NCAA rules and regulations.
The NCAA has developed explicit guidelines for what athletics representatives (alumni, boosters) can and cannot do relative to our student-athletes. Purdue Fort Wayne's Athletic Department has compiled this information to address any questions you may have regarding the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and contact with currently enrolled student-athletes.
By assisting Mastodon Athletics with rules compliance, you are playing a vital role in the protection of the athletics eligibility of our students, as well as reaffirming the integrity of our Department and our University.
Please take time to read the information that follows. As a member of the NCAA, Purdue Fort Wayne is responsible for the actions of its coaches, student-athletes, faculty and staff, alumni, donors, boosters, and friends. Therefore, if you feel unclear about how to operate within the NCAA guidelines, please feel free to contact the Purdue Fort Wayne Athletic Compliance Office at 260-481-6661. As always, we appreciate your support of Purdue Fort Wayne Athletics and Go 'Dons!
