Anita is AACCA certified and she is also certified by the National Cheerleading Association. She served for two years on the Indiana State Cheerleading Executive Board and has judged for the Indiana State Cheer Competitions.
In her 24 years coaching, she has worked every age level from four year old's up to college programs. Her most recent position was with Bishop Luers High School, where she lead the Knights to 10 years of winning seasons in competitive cheerleading. During her final season, the Knights placed 7th in the nation in private schools at the NCA High School Nationals in Dallas, TX.
Anita looks forward to bringing a top level program to IPFW Cheerleading and is looking for serious and dedicated cheerleaders. Her focus will be on building a strong, proud program for IPFW. She plans to recruit top candidates from around the area and beyond to focus on bringing a complete Spirit package to IPFW, including in the future, a co-ed team, an all girl team and a dance team. Her goal is to build a program to rival all others.
Her outside interests include gymnastics and dancing which have a direct bearing on cheerleading.
She also enjoys spending time with her family, husband Dan (an IPFW Alumni) children Sean, Wade and Mackenzie. A native of Antwerp, Ohio, where she cheered in Junior High and Senior High School, Anita and her family reside in Fort Wayne.
