Caren Fiorillo enters her second season as an assistant coach at IPFW.
Before coming to IPFW, Fiorillo was an assistant women's basketball coach at Maine University where she spent two years coaching the guards on the team, planning team travel arrangements as well as assisting in recruiting.
Prior to her time in Orono, Maine, she spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. While with the Bobcats Fiorillo was in charge of recruiting, film exchange, and the creation of scouting reports for the program, and she also coached Dianca Jones, who went on to play professionally in Slovakia and Germany.
She also spent time working with Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman while an intern at Lieberman's 2006 summer basketball camps. While working at the camps, she was placed in charge of marketing and directing camps in the Dallas, Phoenix, and Detroit areas.
As a collegian, Fiorillo was a four-year letterwinner at Flagler (Fla.) College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in sports management and a minor in business in 2006.
She has been actively involved in community service projects throughout her playing and coaching career, and has taken parts in events with the Boys and Girls Club of McKinney, Texas, as well as YMCA Little Dribblers of St. Augustine (Fla.).
