Hannah Albrecht was hired as a full-time assistant coach under head coach Maria Marchesano on April 30, 2021. She was a student assistant coach in 2020 under the previous coaching staff, assisting in the transitions between coaching staffs.
In her first season as an assistant coach for the Mastodons, Albrecht helped the Mastodons improve in almost every aspect of their on-court performance. The Mastodons made a jump in nearly all statistical categories, including points per game (53.7-60.1), free throw percentage (71.4-81.9), assists per game (9.5-12.7) and 3-point percentage (25.0-32.5). The Mastodons' 81.9 percent free throw clip was the second-best in the country in 2021-22 and was the best in program history. She helped the 'Dons to their most wins since 2014-15 and most league wins since 2013-14. She also led Ryin Ott and Shayla Sellers to All-League honors.
Albrecht played three seasons for the Mastodons and was a student assistant coach in 2020-21. As a player, Albrecht scored over 1,000 points in her career, with 752 of them coming in a Mastodon uniform. She was the Summit League Player of the Week once in her senior season and was a Summit League Academic Honor Roll member three times.
