As the only 4 year senior on the team and the loss of 4 seniors last year, Star needed to provide as much leadership as possible. At the beginning of the season she was an outside hitter but that gave way to the middle position where she felt most comfortable. Due to her persistence and leadership the team over achieved in 1998. The don's will miss Star on and off the court.
