Ty Henry joined the Purdue Fort Wayne staff in the summer of 2021 as an Athletic Academic Specialist in the Mastodon Academic Performance Center.

He works with over 150 student-athletes across the men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, and men's and women's volleyball programs to provide skill building in the following areas: test-taking, time management and development. Henry teaches a "Transition to College" course for freshman student-athletes.

Henry came to Purdue Fort Wayne after working at the University of Nebraska from 2019-2021 as an Assistant Academic Counselor. He worked with student-athletes from the baseball, football, track and field, cross country, swimming and diving and volleyball Husker programs. Prior to his time in Lincoln, Henry worked in the Office of Student-Athlete Development at Iowa State for three years. He led study halls, created course calendars and mentored football student-athletes for the Cyclones.

Henry earned a bachelor of science in communications in 2016 and a master of family and consumer sciences in 2019 from Iowa State University.
