Andy Piazza

From 1988 to 1996, Andy Piazza was the head coach of the IPFW men's basketball team. He is IPFW's All-Time winningest men's basketball coach with 144 wins. His Mastodon teams put together four 20-plus win seasons, including a school record 23 wins in 1993. That team also achieved IPFW's highest NCAA ranking at #4 in the nation. The 1993 team was the only IPFW men's basketball team to win the Great Lakes Valley Conference Title. That squad was also the only one in school history to make an appearance in the NCAA tournament. In 19 total seasons of coaching, Piazza's teams won a total of 329 games. As a player, Piazza was invited to the San Antonio Spurs Rookie camp in 1978. He also played two seasons of professional basketball in the European League.
