Frank Gaines graduated as the program leader in career points with 1,841 and now sits third behind only Jarred Godfrey and John Konchar. Gaines did much of his work from the free throw line, ranking second in program history in made free throws (500) and attempts (672). He also ranks in the top 10 in made field goals (6th, 601), rebounds (7th, 561) and steals (10th, 130). He was a two-time All-Summit League First Team selection as well as earning an All-Summit League Honorable Mention nod. In 2011-12 he averaged 21.2 points per game, ninth in the NCAA that season and second best in the NCAA Division I era for the 'Dons. Gaines was drafted into the NBA D-League (now G-League) and was named the circuit's 2014 Most Improved Player. He is still active professionally overseas.
