RICHMOND, Ky. - It is a short turnaround for the IPFW men's golf team. After competing in their first match of the season earlier in the week, the Mastodons are back on the links in Kentucky, taking part in the 15 team Eastern Kentucky University Spring Invitational.
After Day 1, the 'Dons are in 12th place, carding rounds of 311 and 314 on the par 72 Arlington Golf Club Course.
Freshman Patrick Florea (Fort Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) was IPFW's top finisher with rounds of 78-76 for a total of 154. That puts him in a tie for 40th place, just six stokes behind leader Josh McCracken of Eastern Kentucky.
IPFW will play 36 more holes tomorrow.
