Mastodons Wrap Up 2004 Season

FAIRBORN, Ohio - High winds dominated the final round of the Bullock Collegiate Classic, hosted by Wright State University at the Greene Country Club on Monday.

The 2004 IPFW Mastodons finished their maiden voyage in Division I golf by placing 14th in the 15 team event.

Randy Smith (Columbia City, IN/Columbia City) who carded a first round 74, which left him in 5th position, had a little trouble with the strong winds on day-two, and finished with rounds of 82-82 for a total of 238. That placed him in a tie for 35th place.

Overall, Eastern Kentucky ran away with the event. They were 25 strokes better than second place Wright State.

Billy Houle of Cleveland State University was the tournament medalist, and the only player to shoot under par (-1).
