YORKTOWN, Ind. - The IPFW women's golf team finished 17th after round 1 of the Cardinal Classic at The Player's Club.
Western Michigan holds the lead after round 1 with a total score of 285. Ferris State is thirteen strokes behind after Saturday's round.
Junior Vanessa Weimer (Auburn, IN/DeKalb) shot a first round 79 to finish tied in the 32th spot.
Stephanie Donkin of Western Michigan finished round 1 with a 66. The final round will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
