Fort Wayne, IN - Regulation couldn't decide it, and neither could overtime, as IPFW and IUPUI played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie, Sunday afternoon at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
The Mastodons out shot the Jaguars 24-16.
The goaltending tandem of Jamie Farrell and Jessie Mann stopped a combined nine shots for IUPUI (5-4-5).
IPFW's netminder, Shannon Lynn, made eight stops. It was the second straight match in which Lynn has not allowed a goal.
IPFW looked like they had the match won with just over three minutes remaining in the second OT.
Junior forward Anika Apar drilled a shot from about 16 yards out that hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced straight down. Freshman midfielder Ashley Hansbury was there to get a head on the rebound, but her header was stopped by Mann.
With the tie, IPFW is unbeaten in their last two matches (1-0-1). They will now travel to South Dakota State on Friday, and North Dakota State on Sunday, for two United Soccer Conference matches.
The 'Dons are currently 1-0 in conference play.
