
'Dons Win Fourth Straight Conference Match

Kansas City, MO - The IPFW Mastodons headed to UMKC for a road conference match on Friday night. IPFW kept their win streak alive, defeating the Kangaroos, 3-0. The 'Dons have won their last four conference matches.
IPFW defeated UMKC, 30-24, 30-22, 30-15.
Game one started off with a battle and the match tied at six. From there the 'Dons went on a 7-1 run to take a six point lead at 13-7. The Roos came back to within one at 18-19 before the 'Dons made their last run, taking the game, 30-24.
The Mastodons dominated the start of game two, taking a 14-6 lead. IPFW rolled from there, taking game two, 30-22.
In the final game, it was close to start, with the Roos within one, 9-8. An 11-2 run would put IPFW ahead 21-10. The 'Dons would take the game and the match from there, 30-15.
Jessica Miller led IPFW with 12 kills and four block assists.
Rebekah Roehm had a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. She also had four block assists.
Jessica Dominiak dished out 32 assists and was 4 of 8 on the attack. She added two service aces and eight digs.
Peachy Jankowski had 11 digs, taking her career total to 1,975.
Cynara Martins also was strong in the back row with 10 digs.
Mayara Schlindwein was solid at the net with four block assists.
UMKC was led by Jamie Hagerman with 10 kills. Caitlin Koenig had 18 assists while Danni Sperry had fourteen. Mandy Tipton had nine digs.
The Mastodons (12-8, 6-3 Summit League) will now head to Western Illinois for a match Saturday night starting at 8 PM Eastern.
IPFW will host UMKC on Saturday, October 20th at 7 PM in the Gates Center before heading out for two road matches.
