
'Dons Take 2nd at Butler Spring Invite

INDIANAPOLIS - The IPFW Women's Golf team set a new low 18 hole team record this week while at the Butler Spring Invitational. The ladies finished 2nd in the field on 9 with a 650.
The 'Dons shot a 320 on day two to break the previous low 18 record of 327 set at the Butler North/South Intercollegiate and IPFW Fall Classic this season.
Ball State took top team honors with a 637, with Kirsty O'Connor of BSU taking medalist with a 156.
Jillian Speece finished in 4th with a 159. Her sister, Jacque Speece finished tied for 11th with a 163.
Alison Rathsman rounded out the 'Dons in the top 20. She was tied for 19th with a 165.
The Mastodons topped future Mid-Con opponents Oakland and IUPUI. Oakland finished in 3rd with a 654 and IUPUI was 5th with a 664.
IPFW will head to the UC/UD Invitational on April 2nd and 3rd. The tournament is hosted by both the University of Cincinnati and the University of Dayton.
