'Dons Improve to 11-10 After Defeating Oakland

Rochester, MI - The IPFW Women's Tennis team improved to 11-10 after defeating the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies 7-0 at Lifetime Fitness on Wednesday afternoon.
In doubles, the 'Dons took the point after the teams of Coulson and Lish and Hager and Bartelheim won at #1 and #2 respectively. Janek and Rang fought hard at #3 but Oakland held on, 8-6.
In singles, Sachi Janek, Stacy Lish, Lisa Bartelheim and Mollee Carpenter won in straight sets. Ashley Coulson won at #2 in three sets while Hanna Hager fought hard with two tie breakers to take the point at #4.
The Mastodons will now head to New York to face Niagara and St. Bonaventure this weekend. Their next home match is April 17th against Butler at 2 PM. Lisa Bartelheim will be recognized at that match as part of senior day.
