MAC Men's Tennis Championships Day Two Results

Fort Wayne, IN - On day two of the MAC Men's Tennis Championships both matches were concluded with a 4-0 win. Western Michigan won in the morning over Northern Illinois to defend their title. Ball State defeated Toledo in the afternoon for a rematch of last year's Championship match.
The Broncos took the doubles point after winning at #2 and #3. No. 1 doubles was abandoned at 8-7 in a tight match.
In singles, Brady Crosby won for WMU, 6-3, 6-2 at #2 and Kevin Hayward won in straight sets for the Broncos 6-2, 6-2. John Pelton sealed the match at #5 in straight sets. Nos. 1, 4 and 6 were abandoned.
In doubles for Ball State, the Cardinals took #1 8-5 and #3 8-4. No. 2 doubles was abandoned at 7-4.
Joe Epkey started off the Cardinals singles with a win at #1, 6-3, 6-0 over Mohammed Al Nabhani of Toledo. Joe Vallee and Bret Berryman secured Ball State's win at #4 and #5 respectively.
The MAC Men's Tennis Championship will conclude on Saturday, April 28th at the IPFW Tennis Courts. The Cardinals and Broncos will start at 1 pm in a repeat of last year's final match.
