Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW was blanked in women's soccer action on Tuesday night at the Hefner Soccer Complex, 4-0 by the Detroit Titans.
Detroit's opening goal set the tone for the match as IPFW keeper Malinda Holmer misplayed a free-ball allowing sophomore midfielder Trina Kochanski to tap the ball into an open net.
The Titans (1-5-0) struck again just before half on a goal by freshman Selena Stanski. At the 41:37 mark, Stanski created just enough room to get a shot off that grazed the inside of the right post for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Detroit got two more goals in the second half to seal their first win of the season.
The Titans out shot the 'Dons 19-6 in the match with Detroit keeper Katie Fortenberry saving all four IPFW shots she faced.
Holmer made six saves of her own as IPFW fell to 0-6-0.
The Mastodons return to action on Friday night, hosting the Toledo Rockets at Hefner Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
